Waste of time, unless you want to upgrade your machine September 19, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've played all versions of Quake and ET, and this one is one of the most resource-hogging, complicated POC version I've encountered. It's not enjoyable to play in single person, the actual graphics and processor requirements are greater than those stated on the box.
The objectives and characters are nothing new, really. Get yourself The Orange Box and enjoy something innovative.
hey September 15, 2008 I have had this game since it came out butt never play it much. Iplayed today for along time, there is more players had agreat time. with all the crudy games that have come out since after call of duty 4,this is asleeper you shoud give a try.
ETQW September 8, 2008 The overall quality of the game is very good for the price. There are not so many the server and players now, but can still enjoy enough.
fun multiplayer but only if... September 4, 2008 id recommend this game on one condition. you dont like mindless fragfests. only buy this if you like kill swarms of people in order to complete an objective. kind of a steep learning curve so be prepared. all the work might be worth it. i quit playing it practically right after i bought it. dont buy this because there are many better games out there. call of duty 4 for example. or team fortress.
One of the best team based shooters April 30, 2008 This game is a excellent take on the Quake universe. It rely's alot on team based game play though, so if you do not like working as a teammate, then do not play this game. You can only win by working with your team and the recent patches add in voice chat which I do not know why they left out in first place. Graphics are not all that but still nice. The controls are the standard FPS but it really disappointed me is that there is no support for joystick control for the vehicles. Maybe I do not have it configured right but that is only drawback I see to this game. It is something fresh though where instead of the same old capture the flag and domination modes though. You complete objectives to win. These missions are frantic and exciting. This is a great addition to your team-based multi-player library.
