 Disappointed September 24, 2008
Having used other digital scrapbooking programs for a PC, I was really excited to try this one for our new iMac. It wasn't at all what I was expecting. I am extremely disappointed in the templates and the graphics/backgrounds that are available. The pages look cartoonish and overly simplistic -- not at all what I could create using the other program I have for the PC. If this thing had a money back guarantee, I would get mine back!!

I have been wanting to scrapbook for so long so I decided to finally get something. Loving Mac computers I thought iRemember would be the best option. I was wrong!! I'm not great at computers but I am not completely stupid either and I had a very hard time with this. I made some very nice pages that I really liked but it took me so long to do it that I didn't enjoy it much. The clip art sounds like you would get a lot but all you get is a bunch of the same thing in every color imaginable. The layouts are really not that exciting I didn't want to use any of them. I wish I would have saved my money and waited for something better.

Before I write anything else, please know I am a computer idiot. I am afraid of technology. In other words I am a digital immigrant.
I recieved the original iremember for Christmas a few years ago and it was terrible. I reviewed it back then and gave it 1 star. Fast forward 4 years and all the scrapbook software I tried for PCs stunk so I decided to upgrade my iremember for Macs and give it a try again.
If you are total Mac person like I am, you will love the way you can work straight from iphoto. Based on that feature alone it would have gotten 5 stars. The reason I gave it only 3 stars is because there is still a very limited amount of clip art. Sure there are 15, 000+ images, but do we really need the same exact metalic paw print or metallic snails shape in 200 different shades? Please! The backgrounds and template are also very limited. I have had some success using the clip art from my word program, but not much. Also there is a big question about where I can get my 12x12 pages printed out once I am done with my current album. You might want to look into that first as most places seem to only handle 81/2 x11 only. (This program does come with numerous page sizes. I just chose 12x12 as that is what I was using when I did scrapbooking by hand.)
But even for a computer idiot like me, navigating through the program is pretty easy, once you watch the online tutorial. Customer service is great. I recieved answers to my questions usually within less than 24 hours. Per the website, some new upgrades are being released soon and I will gladly pay for them if they add on new clipart.

Iremember Digital scrapbooking 2.0
I had been using iRemember for several years. If you're a paper scrapbooker and thought that in an afternoon you would become a computer scrapbooker, you will be disappointed and frustrated. If you have had previous experience with editing photos for designing pages on computer this program offers some functions that other programs don't.
I use this as one program in an arsenal of programs that allow me to edit photos and design pages sometimes for scrapbooking and sometimes for posters, presentations, or brochures. The function I use most is to label photographs either right on the digital photograph or on a page that the photograph is on.
I often work with historical photographs that I am trying to preserve for posterity. I scan the original photo then label the digital copy using iRemember. I can add text to the page, right on the image or anywhere I want to record all the detail about the photo.
But I have also made scrapbook items including photos set into clipart. Those are lots of fun.
I haven't had to contact Intrigue, the company that developed iRemember, very often but when I have that had been very responsive.
iRemember is a program worth considering.

I love iRemember! This software has been the best for me! Absolutely amazing for doing digital scrapbooking on my Mac!
