This is the most egregious misadvertising I've seen in years. There are very few clips on the disk and you must pay extra to continue to use the package after a year. This company should be sued out of business. Furthermore, I was not impressed with the clips that ARE on the disk. Do not buy this package.

Like everyone else, I agree that the box is a bit misleading. The 3.5 million pieces of clip art are not on the CD - they are available via the **included** one year subscription to their web clip art service. HOWEVER, with that said, I have a couple of other large collections of clip art on multiple disks and it is a real pain to search the various disks. And I have to lug them around (CD's are heavy!) if I want to use them with my laptop away from my desk. I much prefer the web-based approach of this collection, rather than having to juggle a lot of CD's.
We mostly use this for my son's school projects, so the licensing terms are okay for us either off the web or from the CD. And, I've found the web-based collection to have a lot of good images that (so far) have met the needs of all of his projects.
If you are expecting lots of images on CD, this is not for you. If you want a lot of images easily searchable on the web, this is a great deal.

In reading the comments I find no mention of "Royalty Free".
This is down in the "You are not permitted To: " paragraph, second sentence of the first paragraph. Check the disk license.
The images on the delivered disk "Use any of the photos of clip art images for any COMMERCIAL PURPOSE".
These are not "Royalty Free". The subscription graphics are.
Most of the STUFF is low resolution, unidentified and unidentifiable graphics. Due to this and the royalty restriction I am deleting all of the graphics on the delivered disk from my computer.
The one saving feature is the one year iClipart subscription.
Lotsa good photo objects there most of which can be converted to true "photo objects" for use in home or commercial graphics (giving them an alpha channel).
I have looked at "Photos", food and drink and nature/scenic. F&D consist mostly of what appear to be cropped photos.
N/S- many are not suitable for tv graphic productions.
Loads of cartoons!! and not bad.

This product has received some bad reviews because it advertises 3.5 million images but their not all on the disc. It would probably be better if they explained it more clearly on the box. Don't let the poor explanation scare you away. I am a pro designer who has used many collections. The ones that really have this many images come on 10 DVD sets and have horrible interfaces. This package is perfect. I basically open the box, get the clipart.com membership code and throw the rest away. Visit clipart.com and you'll see that a 1 year membership is $159.00! I get it every year for about $25. Previous years it's been as much as $39. Still a deal either way. And being able to use my clipart where ever I go without lugging 10 DVD's is a major plus. I can even use it on other computers as long as I have an internet connection.
The reviews that say it isn't what it seems are right. It is much, much more. I highly recommend it!

Waste of money...
Even the search function doesn't work. It may not cost a lot, but it wouldn't be worth it even if it were free!
