Bridge Baron OK November 22, 2008 This software plays bridge fairly well, not great. The windows programming, user-interface is definitely inferior and amateurish programming. Dialog boxes do not retain values between instantiations, thus usere must set all options every time a dialog box is brought up!!. This is particularly annoying for choosing bridge conventions to practice where user must wade through a scroll list of non-alphabetical conventions to choose the desired ones. There are obvious bad bugs, for example if user pushes "hint" button and pushes it again before the software responds with a hint, the software hangs in an infinite loop and must be terminated with the Windows task manager. Dialog boxes are system modal and lock up the user interface while the software is computing a play!! not cool.....
It does play bridge fairly well

Worst game program I've ever used. May 25, 2008 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
No directions, no explanations of bidding, no teaching of bidding, no way to replay a hand--absolutely, totally frustrating. You start game 1. If you decide to look at game 2, you can but there's no getting back to game 1. And so it goes. If you want to play another hand and advance to another game, I did just to see what would happen, and at game 26 I simply gave up. No explanation of a play--just a note of each player's high-card points.
I tried deleting the program, and searched for remnants, and deleted those hoping to start at game 1. I was given game 27. Don't waste your money or time!

I gave this gift to my Mother for her birthday. She loves it! The images are easy to see and the game play is self explanatory. She loves it and I would recommend to anyone learning how to play bridge. It was a hit!
Smashed January 1, 2008 3 out of 28 found this review helpful
This product came at the last second for the holidays and the packaging was very smashed. It was embarrassing to give such a smashed package as a holiday gift.
