Product Description

In the second installment of their cutting-edge romantic trilogy, Shonell Bacon and JDaniels continue to explore the effects past lives and lies have on the potential for everlasting love.

Roxy Winters, the notorious younger sister of Luvalwayz's Deandra, returns in Draw Me With Your Love, this time with a romantic adventure of her own. Fresh out of college and ready to pursue her passion for art, Roxy takes a job at a trendy Manhattan gallery. Persuaded by her boss and confidante to attend an arts event on a cruise ship, Roxy develops more than just professional appreciation when she encounters the up-and-rising artist Antoine Billups. As the ship arrives at the dock, Roxy and Antoine's budding romance is cut short -- by their return to land as well as Roxy's hesitation to open her heart. Experiences, lovers, and friends come into play as the two face the challenge of overcoming their past mistakes and present fears in their quest for love.

With their unique collaborative writing style, Shonell Bacon and JDaniels present both male and female sides of relationships, lending unparalleled insight and honesty to this exciting series.

3 out of 5 stars A solid sequel....   March 16, 2005
This story of Toxy and Antoine is a solid, stand alone sequel to one of the short stories in Bacon and Daniels first effort "Luvalwayz". Here we see Roxy's character developed as she goes on a relationship journey with Antoine. At times Roxy is a spoiled brat and wants things her way or the highway. Several times during my reading of this book I was completely annoyed with Roxy as she certainly was not as fully invested in the success of the relationship as Antoine. The power of a character to induce such feelings in a reader speaks well for the author, or in this case authors. Antoine's relationship with his best friend Nikki, who doesn't harbor wonderful feelings for Roxy and in fact is quite suspicious of her intentions towards Antoine, adds nice tension to the main story line at times and is distracting at others as it seeks to address Nikki's difficulties with life as a lesbian.

All in all the best thing I have to say about this book which was good, but not the best book I've read, is that the two authors write seamlessly as one. It is a solid, cohesive effort by these authors.

4 out of 5 stars The Art of Love   June 23, 2004
DRAW ME WITH YOUR LOVE is the second installment of the trilogy penned by
Shonnell Bacon and JDaniels. This story opens with the beautiful and
mysterious Roxy Winters. She is beginning a new life as a recent college
graduate embarking on a career as an interior designer. She seems to have
everything going for her - looks, a promising career, a supportive family, and
a brand new boyfriend, but she's haunted by nightmares from her past.

Antoine Billups is Roxy's new boyfriend. He is a hot new artist who is
finally coming into his own. He loves Roxy fiercely, but senses that she is
holding something back from him. The other part of Antoine's world is shaped
by his best friend, Nicky, a loving lesbian who is like a sister to him.
Nicky is protective of Antoine and suspects that Roxy is not as great as she
seems. Unfortunately, tragedy strikes Nicky which leaves her unable to
protect Antoine from Roxy's hypnotic hold.

Bacon and Daniels weave a story that is filled with drama and surprises. Roxy
and Antoine must learn to trust and love one another amidst many past hurts
and present traumas. The story flows well and it's hard to believe that two
people wrote it as opposed to one. The characters are memorable and incite
emotion and I often found myself wanting to reach through the pages and have a
girl talk with Roxy. DRAW ME WITH YOUR LOVE is a satisfying and drama-filled
read.

5 out of 5 stars good sequel   March 10, 2004

I very much enjoyed the sequel to Luvalwayz. We now know and understand why Roxy turned to a life of prostitution. Wish more would have been mentioned about the characters from the previous novel, but it was all good none the less. Looking forward to the final book in the trilogy.

3 out of 5 stars Pretty Good!   August 27, 2003

This sequel was pretty good. It's an easy read and takes you into the world of Art. We now understand why Roxy Winters was in Paris to begin with and how she got there. We also understand why she chose the path she chose. However, the best character in the entire novel was Nicky. She told it like it was and didn't bite her tongue. I would like to read a novel centering around her character. She was quite strong despite the horror she went through.

5 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT SEQUEL....FIVE STARS!   August 13, 2003
This book was the sequel to LUVALWAYZ and it was sooo good! I got so into this book that I felt like I personally knew the characters. Enter Roxy, a fiesty, smart, next-door type of girl who has a painful past that she doesn't want anyone to know, in fear of them treating her differently. She use to be a high class escort. She moves to another city to erase her past and start a new life. She meets Antonie on a cruise and they instantly become friends. At first, I wasn't too fond of Roxy because she was always up in Antonie's face, but towards the middle of the book I loved her. She falls in love with Antonie and tries to keep her past just what it is the past, but something unexpected happens and everything falls apart and there's nothing Roxy can do about it.

I highly recommend this book! It was good from the beginning to the end. It gets five stars easily!
