| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Third Edition (copyright 2000) by Walter Bauer Edited and revised by Frederick William Danker. Described as an "invaluable reference work" (Classical Philology) and "a tool indispensable for the study of early Christian literature" (Religious Studies Review) in its previous edition, this new updated American edition of Walter Bauer's Wörterbuch zu den Schriften des Neuen Testaments builds on its predecessor's staggering deposit of extraordinary erudition relating to Greek literature from all periods. Including entries for many more words, the new edition also lists more than 25,000 additional references to classical, intertestamental, Early Christian, and modern literature. The Libronix DLS Edition The BDAG print edition introduces typographical enhancements to help the reader quickly scan the page and locate desired information. These typographical features serve as visual landmarks indicating various categories of information. For the digital edition, we brought these typographical enhancements to the screen but went one step further. We also created a special software feature called "BDAG Search" that uses the typographical formatting as searchable fields.

over-rated--money better spent elsewhere July 31, 2006 3 out of 30 found this review helpful
Like many classics, this dictionary is over-rated and not worth the money, considering that many better newer resources are available. I find that I use it less and less, prefering to look up words in Warren Trenchard's new vocabularly guide, which simply gives you a concise list of all the possible meanings, plus the cognates which help determine the meaning. Then I look how the word is actually used in the NT, with a good Greek concordance.
