Best game I played for the past 2 years December 14, 2008 I got this game as a gift but now that I have finished it, I think it is worth the full price. A great RPG that is a must play. The only flaw is that the game crashed to the desktop a couple of times so do save often.
SecureROM won't let you patch it December 9, 2008 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
The game was fine until I applied a patch, which caused SecureROM invalidated my install. Yet another game ruined by this horrific "protection." The only usable copy long-term is the cracked one . . . the legal version is inferior and can't be used beyond a patch.
Great addition to much needed turn based games December 7, 2008 At first playing I was not too impressed. However after a short while I began to see the depth of play and variety in the game. I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute. It plays perfectly with all options maxed on my older pc{xp}. I quickly tire of the drabness of games like Neverwinter Nights, dark and gloomy gets old quickly. KB is a refreshing change of scenery-colorful and bright. The game is long, varied, and entertaining. After experiencing the disappointment of Fallout 3 (wouldn't play at all) KB is therapy.
Just One More Turn...Again November 19, 2008 If you are a fan of short, but not too simple, role-playing games, this is a great choice. There's a lot of battle management, but it's doable, and difficulty can be set - I'm doing it on Normal, and it's challenging enough. The magic system is complex enough to allow a different play style between magic users and fighters. There are interesting choices that can be made to support evildoers or oppose them, to pick factions in local squabbles, and to conduct diplomacy and guard missions. I highly recommend this game as an easy to get into, hard to master, fun to play single player tactical/roleplaying masterpiece.
Could be a Great Game if it didnt CRASH in Vista November 18, 2008 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I would normally give this game 4 of 5 stars losing only one for lack of replay value because of the single scenario. The game is fun interesting & witty in spots and even allows for character growth and customization. The graphics are beautiful and music is good if abit repetitive. The one thing I can't stand is that even after they have issued a patch for some issues it still crashes every few hours and this game takes many hours to play. Now I dont know about most of you but having to reboot vista without being able to shut the computer down because of a game bug is not my idea of cool
