useless for ripping DVD chapters November 13, 2008 I'm not sure why it is SO hard to find a program that will rip chapters from a DVD (successfully that is). I have had no luck. Magix is just another one, but you may want to consider that the function I'm interested in may not relate to your purpose, just know that:
When you go to rip DVD chapters, the program will only allow you to select ONE FILE AT A TIME. No shift and select multiple chapters, it would take you forever to capture anything that was not an analog signal or directly from DV tape. Anything else is useless.
Makes a great video for the price September 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've used this program to piece together video clips, photos and music and am very pleased with the end result. No distortion of the images, whether increased or decreased in size. I was using Nero, but my videos ended up with distortion. The transitions are a bit lacking, although there are plenty of them to choose from. Seem dated and not daring enough in what they do and how quickly they do it. But I don't use very many transitions, so it doesn't bother me all that much. I've encountered no tech problems running it on XP.
This is the one you want! August 1, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a great product! I was able to make a complex video in just a few hours without reading the directions. (I have used only one other editing program before buying this). This is perfect for beginners, and after thumbing through the manual, I found there are lots of options for all kinds of advanced projects.
