5 out of 5 stars The Story of Edgar Sawtelle   November 20, 2008

What some may find a dark novel, shocking at times, it is none the less a facinating read and well worth the time. It is on my list of all time favorites.

This audio book was worth every penny spent. To listen to the details was exciting and much better than if I just read the book. Thank you for the chance to review this very interesting audio book.

1 out of 5 stars First start a regime of anti-depressants before reading...   November 19, 2008

The ending is just too hard to take. So maybe it is the goal of literature to evoke emotion in people, but why the author would go to such lengths to make the book as heart wrenching and depressing as he did...I just can't understand. Read the first 200 pages then make up your own ending.

5 out of 5 stars One of "THE BEST BOOKS"   November 19, 2008

I thought the book started out slowly, not just an "easy" read, but by the end of the book, I was wishing it would continue for another few hundred pages! Excellent writing style and heart-wrenching story line. Of course, being a dog fan probably influenced my opinion!
